“I worked with scholarly to do a research course into the different methodologies used in Psychology. I choose the topic- side effects of listening to music and applying it to the real -world scenario of driving. All the professors really guided us on how to best use the vast information in the library to find exactly what we needed. To me, doing research work was always some sort of a far -fetched dream that was only to be done by undergrad and graduate students in college. However, this course was a wonderful experience for me as it introduced me to the possibility that anyone can do research. I will always remember it as my first stepping stone into the world of research. Now, mainly because of the aid of this course, I am applying to many universities with the aim of eventually becoming a researcher in the academia of psychology and cognitive sciences. I definitely recommend any student who wants to step outside their curriculum and learn over the summer. All professors and colleagues at scholarly have been nothing but helpful throughout the entire journey.”

“Questioning the ideas of the universe is an integral part of my personality, and thus, Physics appeals to my inner explorer. In the Summer of 2023, I enrolled in Scholarly’s INTRO TO COLLEGE RESEARCH course taught by Prof. Doros Petasis. The course gave me a sneak peek at what might be my academic life in college: working with Prof. Petasis, a leading expert in the field of EPR Spectroscopy, having fruitful discussions with peers, and the actual ‘thrilling’ stress of writing a research paper, which the Professor himself endorsed. Scholarly’s course allowed me to write and subsequently publish the paper, providing a first-hand experience of undergraduate studies in the USA. The course broadened my understanding of the subject and helped me realize that my mode of expression and creativity is Research. This shaped both my personality and my academic side. Pursuing Physics in college remains my ultimate goal, and this course helped me take a giant leap toward that.”

“I took part in Scholarly’s Physics research paper program. Our professor, provided us with extremely insightful and engaging content in topics such as magnetism and quantum physics that provided me with the foundation required to pursue my research paper. Throughout the course Prof. provided us with thorough feedback which allowed me to understand the scientific research process. My learnings through this course will be invaluable in college especially because the course structure was designed to resemble the science senior thesis project that one pursues in the final year of their undergraduate course. Throughout this course, I learnt how to effectively grasp scientific content that is beyond my course work by following a methodical approach.”

“I came to India in 2013 and found myself drawn to research. But I always thought that research was something that only academicians or people in academia, like professors or lecturers, did. I really didn’t think students like me and high school students could do research until I came in touch with Scholarly. Scholarly’s research program put me in touch with renowned faculty from esteemed universities across the globe. Not only did it help me in my college application journey, where I’ve been applying to some of the top universities in the world, but it also helped me understand my subject deeply. I chose psychology as one of my favorite subjects in school. Through real-life studies, like exploring aggression in driving behavior, I gained invaluable knowledge and skills. I think the overall journey was amazing for me, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to diversify their interests or pursue research and study abroad.”

"Physics is one of my favorite subjects, hence I decided to opt for the physics research paper under the guidance of Prof. Petasis. I am grateful for his support and guidance throughout this endeavour specially considering that this was the first research paper I ever wrote. This entire learning experience helped me polish my skills not only for writing a research paper but also presenting any concept in physics. This is something I believe is an essential quality for a good physicist or engineer. I am thankful to scholarly for giving me this fantastic opportunity."

"I was always intrigued by the field of Economics, and as my school did not offer it as a high school subject, Scholarly seemed the perfect fit to explore new avenues under expert guidance while making the optimal use of my free time during the summer vacation. My topic of research was the economic impact of fast fashion industry. Overall feedback I received from my professor was very positive and helpful as I was very new to the subject. He was able to not only guide me on researching, referencing and writing my research paper, but also advise me on the content of our research paper. My overall experience in this course has been a pleasant one. I’ve been able to have first hand experience studying the field of economics and discovered its sheer diversity and importance in today’s world. As I took part in the lessons, I learned more and more about social science research, which will help me in my high school and university assignments. Finally, while conducting my own research and listening to that of my classmates, I gained a lot of knowledge about different aspects of today’s world. Thank you to scholarly and professor for this experience."

"I am passionate about sustainable development specially in the field of Architechure. To be honest, three months ago, I was someone who was intimidated by even reading a research paper. During the summer I worked under professor Eric Pallant. His interactive approach gave me a place to present my influences and ideas while also teaching me the importance of raising my questions. This class was the fantastic experience for me to witness what exactly goes into drafting a research project. I would like to thank prof. pallant and Scholarly for providing me with this opportunity."

"My favorite subjects are Computer Science, Astrophysics and Math. Astrophysics or astronomy courses are normally available only in college. In Summer 2020, I enrolled for a credit course - Foundations of Astronomy with Scholarly. The course was conducted by Professor Jamie Lombardi who is a renowned professor in this field. The classes were well structured and covered the big bang theory, gravity, celestial timekeeping, orbits, light, the birth and evolution of stars, black holes and other compact objects, dark matter and dark energy. As a part of the coursework, I also wrote a research paper that was endorsed by the professor and subsequently published. I scored highly in the course and have developed a mentor in Professor Lombardi. Scholarly’s course provided me with substantial learning as well as a firsthand experience of undergraduate studies in USA. Enrolling for an actual college course while still in high school has helped me better understand the expectations from students, the pace of study and how to engage with the professors. The overall experience has helped improve my college readiness. I would recommend the credit courses to students that are interested in learning and going the extra mile to differentiate themselves."

"I had my first association with Scholarly through their “Collegiate Quiz Championship” in Summer 2020. It was a fun, well organized event which not only tested many facets of knowledge but also kept students engaged during Covid lockdown. I did very well in the event and made it to the Grand Finale. Later in Fall 2020, I enrolled in a Scholarly credit course “Core Concepts of Physics” taught by Prof. Doros Petasis. This was a Calculus based course covering Newtonian Physics at college level. The teaching was of a high quality and interaction in the class was encouraged.  I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and the overall experience. The technology and mode of teaching was seamless and created the ambience of an actual classroom. I would highly recommend this course to students who aim to enhance their profile for selections to best global universities."

"I studied Cognitive Psychology in Fall 2020 under Professor Aimee Knupsky. I plan to major in Neuroscience along with a Creative Writing minor while pursuing a pre-medical track in college. At school, I am a writer for an organization called Psych(ed) which aims to destigmatize mental illnesses. I had not seen many options for high school students desirous of pursuing neuroscience to get exposure to college level curriculum. As such, I was thrilled when I came across the Cognitive Psychology course in August 2020. Professor Knupsky is an excellent instructor and made the classes very interesting. We learnt about several mental processes including attention, perception, memory, language and problem solving. We also covered cognitive strengths, such as creativity and expertise, and weaknesses such as biases and mindlessness. This course helped firm up my thoughts about the choice of major as well as gave me exposure to college level curriculum while still in high school. I really enjoyed doing the Cognitive Psychology course and would recommend this to students interested in business or pre-medical track in college."
